Went to a wedding last week, got viral pink eye. Unlike regular pink eye, which we’ve all had, this lasts weeks and can cause permanent eye damage. Score!

If you’ve ever read The Expanse series by James S.A. Corey, there’s the part where they’re stranded on an alien planet and they’re all slowly going blind as the virus replicates inside their corneas- it’s exactly like that.

Thankfully, I’m coming out of it now, and I’m working on a new short story and a new novel, the latter of which naturally features somebody awesome slowly going blind.
